Happy Easter (part 2)
By Tracy | March 26, 2008
On with the recap . . .
Edith and I did some driving over the weekend too. Me in the driver’s seat that is! It was great. She’s such a calm and patient person, it made driving a lot less nerve racking. I’m hoping to do more driving with her each time I go down. Maybe I’ll even be ready to get my real license by summer! I can hope anyway!
We dropped Allain and the kids off at Memere and Papa’s Saturday morning, and I had an entire afternoon child-free! Man was it nice to have a long break like that. Edith and I went fabric shopping, went to get Amber, picked up some grocery things, baked cookies, and just had a pretty good time.
Edith’s sister Nancy gave me a bag of fabric she was getting rid of, and I’m so excited. I’ll post a picture of the different fabrics later. We all helped finish up some embroidery projects Edith had on the go, and the little pillows tuned out pretty nice.
I was supposed to go out clubin’ with Allain’s cousin Angele and some other friends, but I was way to tired to start an evening out at 10pm. Man that’s bed time! lol . . . I’m so pathetic!
Edith and I took the kids to see JP, Ginette and girls at their hotel Sunday morning. Wyatt wasn’t impressed that we couldn’t go swimming in the pool!
We had Sunday lunch at Memere and Papa’s place. It was nice to see Denise and Pam again. She’s getting so big. Not to long now. She’s due the week before Maya’s birthday. Owen and Wyatt had a good time. They were crazy during lunch. Wyatt would be goofing off, shaking his head or doing something non-eating related, and Owen would give hime a sturn look and yell “NNNOOO, EAT!”. It was so cute.
They always take a while to warm up to each other, but when they do it’s so much fun watching them play together. Sometimes I wish we lived in Cornwall so the kids could see each other more often. I grew up with cousins that were more like siblings. We saw each other all the time. We were always at my Nanny and Poppy’s together, and we grew up really close. I hope to make trips to Cornwall more often once we can be rent a car for the weekend. (Man, I need to get my license!)
Uncle Dan drove us all home Sunday evening. It was a great weekend. (I hope to get more pictures from Memere and Papa’s . . . I hope someone else took some!)
